Mosra Energy Limited Donates Food, Clothes to Host communities in Kogi State.

As part of our responsibility to host communities , Mosra Energy Limited, donated 1,000 5kg bags of rice, 1,000 pieces of wrapper and 1,000 pieces of customized bags were distributed across the communities of the mining territory of the company in Kogi State.

The SSG  expressed delight with the MD of Mosra Energy Limited and his team for the wonderful programme.

The SSG who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on Administration, Ephraim Amurawaye said; “Even with the investments, the MD went beyond to empower the people.

“I wish to commend the MD and his team to keep the flag flying. I’m so impressed, I’m so happy, I’m so elated. Kogi state government has been partnering with mining companies and that’s why we have MIREMCO as the lead and the MIREMCO chairperson Has been doing a great work, I will assure you that we would keep partnering and encouraging investors to come and do mining programmes”.

Earlier in his remark, MD/CEO of Mosra Energy Limited, Mr. Olukayode Ramos stressed that the empowerment is a way of appreciating the host communities for the relative peace the company is enjoying. He added that the company is so much indebted to the people and to the nation for creating the enabling environment to operate. He promised to keep supporting the people in his capacity.

In her remarks, Chairperson, Kogi state Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee, MIREMCO, Hajiya Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman, echoed that this is the first of a kind where a company in his wisdom will not only bother itself on delivering community development agreement alone but go extra mile to reach out to the community to see the need of the community and then try to meet it.

The Traditional Ruler of Emekputu, His Royal Highness Shuaibu Hassan, averred that what Mosra Energy Limited is doing is the first in history and as such was very pleased, pleading with them to continue in that manner so that the relationship between them and the host communities will continue to deepen.

“The report we will take back to our boss, the Eje of Ankpa is actually that we have seen things, very good to the community”, the royal father stated, promising that the Traditional rulers in Ankpa will boost the security in the mining territories.

In the same vein, visibly elated Surveyor General of the state, Michael Abolarin said Mosra Energy has shown to other mining companies in the state that whatever is taken from them is also given back to them.

Other dignitaries present at the event include; Secretary, Traditional Rulers Council of Ankpa Local Government Area, Alhassan Ibrahim, Chief of staff to Ankpa Local Government Council Chairman, Ibrahim Yahaya, Onu of Ika, Alhaji Umoru Zekeri, Onu of Inye, political appointees, traditional rulers and top management staff of Mosra Energy Limited.
