Mosra Energy Limited Nigeria (MEL) is a well-established coal mining company with over 15 years experience in the industry. We are operating coal mines in Kogi and Delta States. In addition to our current operations, we have several other coal blocks under exploration in Nsukka/Udenu, Enugu State, Dekina LGA, Kogi State, and Ogbadibo LGA, Benue State.
Our Portfolio
We have iron ore deposits in our portfolio. These deposits are located in Koton karfe and Ajaokuta in Kogi State, Kachia in Kaduna State, and Nasarawa Eggon in Nasarawa State. We are mining in Koton Karfe. Study of the Kachia Iron Ore deposit for steel production is on going.
Mosra Energy Limited has acquired Licences covering exploration, quarry and mining for coal (lignite and sub-bituminous), limestone, granite and iron ore across Nigeria. Activities in most of our exploration licences are in advanced stage covering Delta, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Edo Mining Blocks. 117.0753MT proven reserves of lignite deposits has been identified within EL20981 in Delta tenement while 11.75MT of sub-bituminous coal identified in EL20288 of Kogi tenement as “abundant proven reserves of coal has been identified for mining within Delta and Kogi Mines Tenements”.
We have however identified huge reserves of Lignite and Sub-bituminous coal sufficient to generate power for at least 50 years and subject to further increase after completion of exploration work on our licenses.
